Good Morning! This post is a little late. I meant to post last night but we got home kind of late and we both just wanted to cuddle up and watch The Glee Project and Storage Wars.

Yesterday was a pretty good day all in all. Work was work and afterwards we went to see Brad's Grandpa at Chestnut Ridge (A rehabilitation/nursing home). He's getting over a pretty serious infection and is in isolation. Sounds a lot worse then it actually is. He is just in a room by himself, no roomies, and we had to put on cloth gowns and gloves to go in. He's doing pretty good. Losing some weight, but he seems more alert and it's good to see him talking and joining the conversation. Since we were in good ole Forsyth (Cumming) GA for the evening we decided to grab some dinner at one of the local places we haven't had since moving to Duluth. So it was ultimately between Rooster's Cafe and EL Rio. If you're from that area, then you know it was a difficult choice. We have a really good mexican place near our apartment and in the end Rooster's won. It's been awhile since either of us have eaten there and we forgot just how good it was. Oddly enough I remember it being a little pricier than it actually was. We got 18 medium wings with ranch, carrots, and celery, a basket of fries and a sweet tea and a coke...for a whopping $21. I was a little surprised. I just expected at least $25. I'm not complaining because we are both frugal creatures by nature. We usually eat for cheap, unless you take us to Joe's Crab Shack. Then we will empty our pockets for some good crab legs. I'm making my mouth water and it's only 9:45am.

Anyways! Back on track here...

We were also in that area for another reason other than cheap wings and to see Brad's Gramdpa. We also intended to see about adding a new addition to the long list of pets we've had in our small apartment. The list includes, 1 cat, 2 dogs, 1 rabbit, and 2 lizards. The lizards were NOT my idea mind you. We are pet kind of people, I guess. We went to my step-dad's mothers house to check out the sweet little kittens she has. We fell in love with the fluffiest little ball of love. When I say "we" I mostly mean "Brad" because he melts for anything cute. He's a softie. One of the many reasons I love him. We've decided on the name "Dexter". Yeah, after the mild-mannered serial killer in the Showtime series, Dexter.  Sounds a little strange for a sweet little kitten, I know, but we are weird people and we like weird names. Our other cat, Talbot got his name from a different series, from HBO's Trueblood. He's named after Russell Edgington's gay vampire lover that Eric Northman ultimately killed for family revenge. You see, Russell killed all of Eric's viking family and he...wait...sorry this isn't a post about Trueblood. This weekend we are going to pick him up and bring him home. I think Talbot will very pleased to have another buddy to play with. Since he is an only child now. I will try to remember to get some good pictures of the cream colored puff ball.

So long story long, it was a fairly productive Tuesday. I'm now getting ready to brace myself for a long work day 8:30am-8:00pm. Wish me luck, or just wish me to stay awake.

I think spoiler alert goes before the spoiler. Oh well. Now you know.

It's Monday and there isn't much to talk about...Except... the amazing Jumbo Red Velvet Cupcake I got from Publix on my way home. You see dear Bradley got a raise today (YAY!) and I thought it would be nice of me to make dinner and surprise him with dessert. So I made some home made Chicken Parmesan and cut up half of a Wheat French Baguette to dip in olive oil and spices. I had to stop by Publix to get the baguette and some sweet tea. YUM. I was going to pick up some Blue Bunny Red Velvet Cake Ice cream we saw a commercial for last night, BUT apparently my Publix doesn't carry Blue Bunny. Bummer. On the bright side, they do make Gourmet Cupcakes. There was a serious moment of sticker shock when I realized it was almost $4. I sucked it up and bought it and I'm so glad I did. We shared it after dinner and it was Ah-Ma-Zing. Bradley was very surprised and incredibly happy with dessert and I am very proud of him and his raise! We were going to try to catch a dollar movie at Venture Cinemas, but we realized we really needed to do laundry instead. So We're going to catch up on some television and maybe watch The Lorax.

I think I just inadvertently wrote an entire blog post about a cupcake. You're welcome. (BTW I forgot to take a picture of the cupcake before we demolished it, so I stole this one from the internet)
